so rick and kim are now gone ---

Sportscaster Rick Hodge is the latest to be jettisoned from CFRB. He was part of a restructuring effort at sister station EZ Rock.

Fellow morning show staffer Kim Stockwood also got the hook after a poor showing in the latest ratings.

For CFRB, this is another tragic loss of high profile talent and it begs the question: what is Astral brass doing?

In a little more than a year, they imported then fired Jacqui Delaney and Rick, transplanted morning mainstay newsman Dave Agar to afternoons to make way for former CBS News anchor Chris Mavridis (who has since returned to New York after 7 frustrating months at CFRB); changed the sound to add more beeps, woosh and pop sound effects making their anchors sound more like gameshow hosts. Then there are the other talented folks who got the axe this past summer. Who's left?

If it's mediocrity Astral wants, then congratulations guys -- you've achieved just that!
